As members of the very successful Wigan Ukulele Club around 15-18 of us have been performing in Primary, Special and Secondary schools in the North West for some time. We have enjoyed the shared experience so much that we’d like to do more
We bring a variety of ukuleles and banjoleles with us and, as well as giving the pupils a brief introduction to the instrument, we usually give a performance of around one hour. We always encourage the children, and staff, to sing along with us to a variety of child friendly songs.
It doesn't matter if you don't have ukes in school but, if you do, we like to get the children to play at least one simple song with us if we can.
